DealSource Gazette - The Drop! Nov 1st 2024

Reader,

What a wild ride, just think, this time next week, we won't have to deal with all the election noise. The stock market is going to grow in anticipation throughout the next week as the turmoil from the election gives it extra momentum. Then, just before the actual election day, we'll see a slight sell-off as investors temper their emotions. If possible, please go vote, regardless of who you support.

Both Chinese and Japanese indicators could point towards an inflection point bouncing back from economic uncertainty.

One of the most important trends that is really under the radar right now is in design. The designer trends that Tesla started are filtering into the rest of the startup world. Infinite Machines just raised $9M to make the scooter version of a Tesla.

Another interesting forecast to keep an eye on is the MBA application rates have increased by 11% which is significant. The countercyclical nature points to a wide range of pessimism with the overall market for the next couple of years.

Deal Sourcing Tips

Do you provide something valuable when you speak with clients or do you just expect them to appreciate all the work they don't know you're doing on their behalf before ever being engaged? Make sure they know you created a special update just for them, even if it's common knowledge to you.

Be sure to promote yourself, your competitors are.
